Most grades of titanium are approved for chemical industry by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, which means there are different options for different projects. Although grades 1, 2, 7, 12 and others can be used, grade 2 is the one that is applied for most cases. This grade is readily available, making it ideal for rapid production and larger-volume ordering.
However, before settling on any grade, it is important to determine exactly how it will be used. If greater corrosion resistance is required, pipes can be fabricated from grade 7 or 12. For higher strength, grade 3 or 12 may be a better choice.
