The titanium basket boasts high strength, lightweight properties, and excellent corrosion resistance, featuring a protective oxide film on its surface. Under typical electroplating conditions, this film prevents current from flowing through the basket itself, directing it instead to the anode material inside.

Titanium baskets come in various shapes, including round, rectangular, and dish-shaped, with custom designs available to meet specific requirements. They are often used with anode bags, which are typically made from acid and alkali-resistant polyester or polypropylene fibers. These bags are placed around the titanium basket to keep anode sludge and debris out of the tank. For enhanced protection against anode mud and coating burrs, double-layer anode bags may be used, with the inner bag tighter and the outer bag looser. Anode bags are selected for their corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and elasticity.
