Scope of application: petrochemical industry, nuclear power, machinery, medical equipment, chemical fertilizer, shipbuilding, waterproof treatment, pipeline, etc

Purpose: pipe fittings welded on the pipe end or installed on the external thread of the pipe end to cover and block the pipe. It is used to close the pipeline and has the same function as the pipe plug. The pipe cap includes the design of convex pipe cap, conical shell, reducing section, flat cover and tightening mouth.

The most common types of spherical head:

Pan head

This is a spherical head. The radius of the plate is equal to the diameter of the cylinder to which it is attached. The radius of the knuckle is equal to one tenth of the diameter of the cylinder.

Ellipsoidal head

This is a semicircular head, also known as a semicircular ellipsoid head. The radius of the disk is 90.45% of the diameter of the cylinder (ICR=0.9045 x od). The radius of the steering knuckle is (IKR=0.1729 x od).

KR = knuckle radius;   SF = straight flange height;   DH = depth of dishing
